The Monastery Campaign was launched on May 26, 2016 at residence of Cardinal Timothy Dolan. The campaign goal is $500,000 and will fund most of the interior of the new monastery. The overall cost of building the new monastery is 6 million euros. 83% of the money has been raised by private donations in Ireland.
Final plans have been submitted and room and garden choices are available. Please refer to Help Us! page for more information and ways to help.
The Benedictine nuns have never had a multipurpose monastery. They currently live in two separate locations; some in an old farmhouse and others in a guesthouse off the grounds. This new monastery will be built on the lake and very close to the other main buildings. The building will have twenty-two bedrooms with some reserved for visitors and guests. There will be areas for public meetings and retreats and ample room for the nuns to grow their order and host visiting monastics.
